  Well, the obvious advantages of the sea over a swimming pool again would be the congestion of the pool over the relative peace and quiet at the sea. You also have to contend with the chemicals and other nasty fluids in pools whereas the ocean is for the most part natural and beneficial for your health and to be quite honest I don’t see any disadvantages in going to the sea other than the time it takes to get there.

  4. How does water transport, like boats and ships, compare with other kinds? Are there any advantages/ disadvantages of water transport?

  That’s a very good question. I’ve never thought about this question before, but the one and only disadvantage I can think of at the moment of water transport is that it is too slow. The majority of exports from China, for example, go by ship to save on costs. However, when you consider the number of goods that come from remote parts of China via water to Shanghai, and other ports, barges and small ships also play an important economic role in domestic trade.

  To begin with, water is essentially important for all early human settlements. Our ancestors needed water to irrigate in agriculture, so most of those cities were located near a river or lake.   Yes, over the past 10 years the development of industry in China of both raw materials and finished products has risen exponentially and has necessitated a need for larger ports thereby creating more jobs of dockworkers and logistic companies. As for fishing, I don’t know much about that industry, but I would assume that there has also become a need for more seafood given the rise in popularity of tourism and foreign enterprises here now.
